You can meet Lexington in person at our store in downtown Asheville. He's usually lounging in the window, snoozing on the counter, or inspecting fresh flower jars. Come by for the vibes, stay for the cat.
📖 From Engine Trouble to Local Treasure
Lexington, the beloved shop cat, was rescued in June 2023 after a surprise journey from Rutherfordton. At just 4 weeks old, he was found inside the engine of a parked car outside the shop. When the owners returned and popped the hood, he jumped out and ran. After a wild chase, he was finally caught behind Heiwa by a friend who handed him over saying, "Here's Lexington."
Covered in grease and full of attitude, he hollered through his first bath...until the hair dryer came out, and he melted into our arms. Born with microphthalmia, he had one eye removed shortly after. Now happy and healthy, Lexington spends his days greeting customers, sunbathing on the sidewalk, and sneaking into nearby stores. Herding him back? Easier said than done.
